Inflation-adjusted

Inflation-adjusted or "real" monetary values make it possible to compare money values over time. They often come with a year attached to it. For example, The U.S. Bureau of Economic Analysis (BEA) reports Gross Domestic Product in "2009 dollars." This means that all the values become comparable, with 2009 being the year of reference.
